The County Junior Champion Club event took place at Enmore Park on
Monday 11th.August and 18 Clubs entered teams of 4 players with the
aggregate scores of the best 3 counting. Some of the teams had girls
in their ranks and a suitable handicap adjustment was made.
The weather was very good and the course
was in excellent condition thanks to the efforts of Gary Cook and
his greenstaff.
The winning team were from The Mendip
G.C.who returned a fine total of 208 and will now go forward to
represent Somerset in the national final at Woodhall Spa on the
weekend of the 18th and 19th of October.
Team members were Natasha Hillier,
James Taylor, Charlie Morahan and Josh Stevens. Non-playing Junior
Captain Jamie Comber thanked his team and the host club after
receiving the John Nicholas Trophy from County President Derek
